Tungsten West Plc has applied to the Environment Agency for two licences.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application, in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for two full licences to abstract water from the Tory Pond near Plympton, Plymouth at National Grid Reference (NGR) SX 55682 59270 and from the Tory Brook at Loughter Mill, near Plympton, Plymouth at NGR SX 54992 57373.
The application is to abstract water as follows:
Tory Pond
- 225 cubic metres an hour
- 4,500 cubic metres a day
- 856,000 cubic metres a year
Tory Brook at Loughter Mill
- 108 cubic metres an hour
- 1,728 cubic metres a day
- 80,000 cubic metres a year
The water will be used for mineral washing for both licences.
