Report structure and information
Published 29 October 2026
Applies to England
This report presents people with tuberculosis (TB) disease notified to the National TB Surveillance System (NTBS) in England and aims to describe the epidemiology of TB disease in England up to the end of 2025.
This report is produced using a finalised data set and thus data presented here is not ‘provisional’ as reported in the more regular but less comprehensive quarterly statistics. However, changes can still occur to numbers reported due to late notifications and updates to records as more information becomes available. Therefore, data presented in the most recent report supersedes those previously published.
Most health protection functions are devolved to the other UK nations’ public health teams in the UK, so this report only covers TB notifications and data from England.
