The Environment Agency has received a new bespoke application for an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 from Argo Natural Resources Limited trading as DEScycle.

This application is made for a new bespoke activity to recover materials from waste printed circuit boards (metals and metal compounds) via a shredding operation and a series of chemical recovery activities. The site will be permitted under EPR Schedule 1 Part 2, Section 2.2 Part A (1) (a) installation activity for the production of non-ferrous metals, Section 4.2 Producing inorganics chemicals such as salts and metal oxides and includes a waste treatment activity for the reception of waste containing precious metals.
