The policy explains when a transfer can take place, the factors that must be considered, who approves transfers, and how cases are managed once transferred.
The policy was previously included within the Travel and Transfer on Licence and Post-Sentence Supervision (PSS) Outside of England and Wales policy but has been separated into a standalone policy. The policy requirements have not changed. The content has simply been streamlined, reformatted, and presented in a clearer structure.
