Thos. G. Fairhead Farms Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is to vary licence serial number 6/33/27/*S/0031 which authorises the abstraction of water from the River Cam between National Grid References TL 50522 42642 and TL 51578 41071 and from National Grid Reference TL 48729 47338 at Great Chesterford and Whittlesford Parkway, Cambridgeshire.

The variation applied for is to add the purpose of filling a reservoir for subsequent spray irrigation and increase the abstraction period to include 01 November to 31 March each year. There will be no increase in abstraction quantities currently licenced.
