Thomas Edwin Arthur Noble and Rebecca Louise Noble trading as TEA and RL Noble and Son has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is to vary Licence Serial Number (LSN) 6/33/53/*S/0117.

The variation applied for is to combine this licence with the conditions from LSN AN/033/0053/124. LSN AN/033/0053/124 will be revoked.

The variation applied for is to increase licensed quantities and add additional abstraction reaches and period to the licence subject to the revocation of their existing abstraction LSN AN/033/0053/124 as stated below. Both licences authorise abstractions from various drains within Warboys, Somersham and Pidley Internal Drainage Board (IDB) at Ramsey, Cambridgeshire for spray irrigation purposes.

Existing quantities and period:

  • 19 litres a second
  • 68.2 cubic metres an hour
  • 205.5 cubic metres a day
  • 2,055 cubic metres a year
  • between May and October inclusive in each year.

Proposed quantities and period:

  • 27 litres a second
  • 97.2 cubic metres an hour
  • 490.5 cubic metres a day
  • 7,224 cubic metres a year
  • between April and October inclusive in each year.

The variation will also add new abstraction reaches to the licence. These new reaches are within Warboys, Somersham and Pidley IDB and Ramsey First (Hollow) IDB.
