Thomas Cator trading as T Cator Estate has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application, in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is to replace an existing time limited variation on the same terms of licence serial number 7/34/09/*G/0056 which authorises the abstraction of water from the Chalk at Salhouse, Norwich at National Grid Reference TG 30332 15928.
The variation applied for is to increase abstraction from 9,000 cubic metres (m3) to 58,000 m3 per year and from 316 m3 to 862 m3 per day. The water will be used from 1 May to 30 September inclusive for spray irrigation. The proposal is subject to a simultaneous reduction on licence 7/34/09/*G/0051.
