The Wildlife Trust for Bedfordshire Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is to vary licence serial number AN/033/0053/143/R01 which authorises the abstraction of water from the River Nene (Old Course), Holme Fen Engine Drain, Yaxley Lode, Black Ham, New or North Western Cut, New Dyke and unnamed drains within the Middle Level System, Yaxley.

The variation applied for is: to add a new area covering Great Ravely Drain, Woodwalton IDB Drains & Monks lode and increase the quantities by 592 cubic metres per day and 2,878 cubic metres per year.
