The Wales Family Partnership has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application, in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a full licence to abstract (take) water from the River Nar, near Narborough, Norfolk, totalling 90,900 cubic metres per year. The National Grid Reference for the proposed abstraction point is TF 72442 12036.
The application is to abstract water as follows:

1,080 cubic metres per day

90,900 cubic metres per year
Between 1 November and 31 March inclusive in each year.
The water will be used for storage and subsequent spray irrigation.
The proposed abstraction lies in the North West Norfolk Catchment Abstraction Management Strategy reporting area.
