The Mental Capacity Act created the Independent Mental Capacity Advocates (IMCAs) service and this is the third annual report of their activities.

This was published under the 2010 to 2015 Conservative and Liberal Democrat coalition government

Details

Over 9,000 people benefited from the support of IMCAs last year. This represents a 39% increase in referrals.
