Details of the application

The Substantia Group Limited  has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is for a full licence to abstract water from the Weald Clay Formation at the former Foxbridge Golf Club, Foxbridge Lane, Kirdford, West Sussex at National Grid Reference TQ 02027 29879 for private water supply use for the redevelopment of the site into holiday units, a spa, restaurant and farm shop.

The application is to abstract water from a borehole as follows:

  • 1.88 cubic metres an hour
  • 45.06 cubic metres a day
  • 16,448 cubic metres a year
  • All year

Further details are: the proposed abstraction lies within the Arun and Western Streams Abstraction Licensing Strategy reporting area.
