In a joint statement from CDS (Chief of the Defence Staff) and PUS (Permanent Under Secretary), SfD (Strategy for Defence) provides the means by which the long-term strategic direction established by the 2010 National Security Strategy and Strategic Defence and Security Review will be implemented.
