The chair of the Social Security Advisory Committee (SSAC) had written to the Minister for Welfare Delivery about The Social Security (Habitual Residence and Past Presence) Amendment Regulations 2021.

The Minister for Welfare Delivery has replied.

The Social Security (Habitual Residence and Past Presence) Amendment Regulations 2021 apply to certain persons who have come to Great Britain (GB) from Afghanistan in connection with the collapse of the Afghan government that took place on 15 August 2021.
