The Social Security (Electronic Communications) (Amendment) Directions 2015

Secretary of State for Work and Pensions makes the following Directions in accordance with paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 (electronic communications) to the Universal Credit, Personal Independence Payment, Jobseeker’s Allowance and Employment and Support Allowance (Claims and Payments) Regulations 2013[footnote 1].

Citation and commencement

1.–(1) These Directions may be cited as the Social Security (Electronic Communications) (Amendment) Directions 2015.

(2) They come into force on 1 June 2015.

Amendment of the Social Security (Electronic Communications) Consolidation and Amendment Directions 2011

2.–(1) The Social Security (Electronic Communications) Consolidation and Amendment Directions 2011 made on 6 December 2011[footnote 2] are amended as follows.

(2) In paragraph 1 (citation, commencement and interpretation) in sub-paragraph (2), after “(h) a Jobseeker’s Allowance;” insert “(ha) Personal Independence Payment;”.

(3) In paragraph 2 (authorisation) in sub-paragraph (a), for “or Universal Credit” substitute “, Universal Credit or Personal Independence Payment”.
