The Social Security (Electronic Communications) (Amendment) (No. 3) Directions 2020

The Secretary of State for Work and Pensions makes the following directions in accordance with regulation 32ZA of, and paragraph 2 of Schedule 9ZC to, the Social Security (Claims and Payments) Regulations 1987[footnote 1].
1. Citation and Commencement
(1) These Directions may be cited as the Social Security (Electronic Communications) (Amendment) (No. 3) Directions 2020.
(2) These Directions come into force on 2 December 2020.
2. Amendment of the Social Security (Electronic Communications) Consolidation and Amendment Directions 2011
(1) The Social Security (Electronic Communications) Consolidation and Amendment Directions 2011[footnote 2] are amended as follows.
(2) In paragraph 1(2) in the definition of “relevant benefit”, after paragraph (j) insert— “(k) bereavement support payment.”
(3) In paragraph 2, after sub-paragraph (a)(xvi)[footnote 3] insert— “(xvii) bereavement support payment.”
(4) In paragraph 2(b), after “or maternity allowance”[footnote 4] insert “, or bereavement support payment”.
(5) In paragraph 2(c), after “or maternity allowance”[footnote 5] insert “, or bereavement support payment”.
