The Secretary of State for Work and Pensions makes the following Directions in accordance with regulation 32ZA of, and paragraph 2 of Schedule 9ZC to, the Social Security (Claims and Payments) Regulations 1987[footnote 1].

Citation and Commencement

1.—(1) These Directions may be cited as the Social Security (Electronic Communications) (Amendment) (No.2) Directions 2020.

(2) These Directions come into force on 13th August 2020.

Amendment of the Social Security (Electronic Communications) Consolidation and Amendment Directions 2011

2.—(1) The Social Security (Electronic Communications) Consolidation and Amendment Directions 2011[footnote 2] are amended as follows.

(2) In paragraph 2, after sub-paragraph (a)(xiii)[footnote 3] insert—

“(xiv) a social fund funeral payment
(xv) a social fund payment in respect of maternity expenses
(xvi) maternity allowance.”

(3) In paragraph 2(b), after “or state pension credit”[footnote 4] insert “, or a social fund funeral payment, or a social fund payment in respect of maternity expenses, or maternity allowance”.

(4) In paragraph 2(c), after “state pension credit”[footnote 5] insert “, or a social fund funeral payment, or a social fund payment in respect of maternity expenses, or maternity allowance”.
