This equality impact assessment updates the assessment titled ‘Prevention of Illegal Working’ completed in May 2007 prior to the introduction of right to work checks.

The assessment additionally includes consideration of the equality impacts of legislative amendments introduced to extend the scope of employers required to carry out right to work checks.
