If made, the HRO would close the No.2 Fish Dock extension in the Port of Grimsby. Upon the closure of the extension, the No.2 Fish Dock extension would cease to form part of the Port of Grimsby, all rights duties and obligations imposed on the applicant as a statutory harbour authority under any enactment with respect to or in connection with the No.2 Fish Dock extension would cease and any and all rights of navigation within the No.2 Fish Dock extension would be extinguished.
The statutory 42-day public consultation on the HRO starts on 9 May 2025. As the consultation will run across 1 public holiday, the MMO is agreeable to consider consultation responses received up 1 day beyond the 42-day consultation period. The final date for consultation responses to be received is therefore 20 June 2025.
