The Piscatorial Society Holdings Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is for a licence to abstract water from the River Test at National Grid Reference SU 48622 48656 to transfer it to lakes at National Grid References SU 48373 48427 and NGR SU 47948 48366 without intervening use.

The application is to abstract water as follows:

  • 36 cubic metres an hour
  • 864 cubic metres a day
  • 315,360 cubic metres a year
  • between 1 April and 31 March inclusive in each year.

Abstraction will take place each day.

Further details are: All water abstracted under this transfer will be returned to the River Test at a point below the lakes.
