This document contains the following information: The Operational Service Medal: for service in Afghanistan from 11 September 2001 (amendments to Cm 5939 of September 2003).

This document amends the arrangements for the award of Operational Service Medal to armed forces personnel in recognition of service in Afghanistan (from 11 September 2001 to a future date to be decided in due course), as set out in the previous document relating to Operation VERITAS (Cm. 5939, ISBN 0101593929) published in 2003.

This Command Paper was laid before Parliament by a Government Minister by Command of Her Majesty. Command Papers are considered by the Government to be of interest to Parliament but are not required to be presented by legislation.
