Explains the requirements for assessing and appointing of notified bodies under the Noise Emission in the Environment by Equipment for use Outdoors Regulations 2001 (Statutory Instrument 2001/1701) (Outdoor Noise Regulations 2001). These regulations implement the EC Noise Emission in the Environment by Equipment for use Outdoors Directive (2000/14/EC) in UK law. Intended for organisations seeking notified body status to undertake noise emission testing, inspection and certification.
