Details

The Government made a formal offer to the Trade Unions on 15 December 2011 following on from the scheme-level discussions that have been taking place over the last few months. 
 
The Heads of Agreement document sets out the key elements of a new civil service pension scheme, to be introduced in 2015. The final details of the scheme will be discussed in the New Year with those Trade Unions who have agreed to take this offer to their executives (or already have) as the best that can be achieved through negotiation. There will be further communications in due course on what the scheme will mean for individual members.
