The Environment Agency is applying to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a transfer licence for the purpose of filling a dry dock at National Grid Reference TQ 10343 67851 from the River Thames near Sunbury. The Environment Agency will abstract:
- 1,100 cubic metres (m³) per hour
- 1,210 m³ per day
- 55,000 m³ per year
- 305 litres per second
via gravity flow into an open channel controlled by a single sluice.
