Details of the application
Test Valley Trout (Itchen) Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a licence to obstruct or impede the flow of the River Itchen in Itchen Abbas, Hampshire at National Grid Reference SU 53900 32918.
Water will be obstructed or impeded to build a tilting weir and eel pass and to remove an old pre-regulation weir 150 metres downstream.
The application has been made through the Restoring Sustainable Abstraction (RSA) Programme.
