  1. Updated the RPS to the new template and extended review date to 1 December 2026.

  2. We have extended the expiry date of this RPS until 30 September 2023. We have also included a condition that you must keep records for 2 years that show you have complied with this RPS.

  3. This RPS has been extended and is valid until 30 September 2020.

Details

This regulatory position statement (RPS) does not change your legal requirement to have or comply with an environmental permit for a waste operation when you temporarily store end of life vehicles (ELVs) at a motor manufacturer’s dealership.

However, the Environment Agency will not normally take enforcement action if you do not comply with this legal requirement if you meet the requirements in this RPS. 

The regulatory position does not apply to any other legal requirements.
