Copy of letter from Sophie Langdale and Frances Oram, Directors, Local Government Reform and Strategy, at the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government, to Laura Shoaf CBE,  detailing the decision by the Secretary of State to appoint her as Inspector to undertake a Best Value Inspection of Tees Valley Combined Authority under section 10 of the Local Government Act. The appointment letters sets out the scope of the inspection and the responsibilities of the Inspector.

The Secretary of State is to appoint three Assistant Inspectors on the Inspector’s recommendation in due course.
