Details

In response revised government coronavirus guidance, we are working to provide assisted passage at all our locks on the non-tidal River Thames, ensuring that all appropriate measures are in place to protect our staff and members of the public. Until then, all locks are self service.

For safety reasons, members of the public cannot operate Teddington Lock themselves. Arrangements are in place to enable boats to transit the lock, but currently passage must be booked in advance.

To book passage, please email us at WaterwaysThames@environment-agency.gov.uk or telephone 03708 506 506 during normal business hours from Monday to Friday. Please provide as much advance notice as possible, and be aware that availability is limited.

It is not currently possible to buy a visitor boat registration at Teddington Lock. These can be bought by phoning our National Customer Contact Centre Boat Renewal Line on 0330 159 1983.

We are working to introduce improved arrangements at the earliest opportunity.
