We’re planning to introduce a Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) to identify, reward and encourage high quality teaching within higher education institutions (HEIs). This review, by the Office for National Statistics (ONS), examines the proposed data sources for the metrics to be used to assess teaching quality and student outcomes.
This publication includes the initial findings and makes recommendations for improvements to data collection and processing. The final review will include findings on questionnaire design and further discussion of benchmarking.
