Tarmac Trading Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is to vary licence serial number AN/030/0003/008 to abstract water from underground strata consisting of sand and gravels at Whisby Quarry from 5 abstraction points within National Grid References SK 88450 65895, SK 88737 66357, SK 88085 66727 and SK 87789 66338 for the purpose of transferring it without intervening use to Pike Drain at National Grid Reference SK 89490 67320.

The variation applied for is: to increase the licensed quantities from 67,000 cubic metres per year to 89,320 cubic metres per year.
