Tarmac Trading Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 8 of The Water Abstraction (Transitional Provisions) Regulations 2017.
The Environment Agency has received the following abstraction licence application within the Medway catchment.
The application is for a licence to abstract (take) water from Sand and Gravel within the area bounded by National Grid References (NGRs): TQ 79002 72783, TQ 79741 73221, TQ 80742 71823 and TQ 79549 71319 at Kingsnorth Quarry to transfer it an unnamed pond (tributary of the River Medway) between (NGRs) TQ 79458 72500 and TQ 79595 72226 without intervening use.
Abstraction will take place all year.
Further details are: the transfer is to carry out dewatering for the purpose of mineral washing.
