Tarmac Trading Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 8 of The Water Abstraction (Transitional Provisions) Regulations 2017.
The Environment Agency has received the following abstraction licence application within the Lower Wye catchment.
The application is for a licence to abstract (take) water in the course of dewatering from groundwater sands and gravels at Wellington Quarry within the boundary between National Grid References (NGRs) SO 50120 48617, SO 50457 46433, SO 51003 46434 and SO 51120 48127 to transfer it to the Wellington Brook at National Grid Reference SO 50580 47730 without intervening use.
Abstraction will take place all year.
