Details of the applications

Trevor James Lee, Richard John Lee, Andrew Richard James Lee and Christopher Peter Kenneth Lee, trading as PJ Lee & Sons, have applied to the Environment Agency to vary two licences.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of these applications in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The first application is to vary licence serial number 5/32/11/*S/0081 which authorises the abstraction of water between 1 April and 31 October from the Levitts Drove Drain at Thorney, Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, between National Grid Reference (NGR) TL 25542 99852 and TL 26936 99545.

The variation applied for is to add the following additional abstraction reaches to the licence with no change to abstraction volumes:

  1. between NGR TF 25884 02520 and TF 26061 01180
  2. between NGR TF 26061 01180 and TF 27615 00938
  3. between NGR TF 26675 02556 and TF 27210 01006

The second application is to vary licence serial number 5/32/11/*S/0154/R01 which authorises the abstraction of water between 1 November and 31 March from the Levitts Drove Drain to a reservoir at Thorney, Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, at NGR TL 25630 99830.

The variation applied for is to allow the discharge of water, stored in the reservoir, to the North Level Internal Drainage Board system at NGR TF 27575 00268 for subsequent re-abstraction between 1 May and 31 October. No change to licensed abstraction volumes has been applied for. Re-abstraction shall be from the reaches listed below:

  1. between NGR TF 27823 01914 and TF 30640 03261
  2. between NGR TF 29301 02519 and TF 30686 02801
  3. between NGR TF 30676 03159 and TF 34096 03807
  4. between NGR TF 30218 02690 and TF 30621 01201
  5. between NGR TF 28542 02094 and TF 28966 99920
  6. between NGR TF 28206 00506 and TF 28659 00635
  7. between NGR TF 30610 00755 and TF 28761 00226
  8. between NGR TF 27499 99494 and TF 34633 01562
  9. between NGR TF 30677 00414 and TF 34432 01986
  10. between NGR TF 31197 00985 and TF 33256 01158
  11. between NGR TF 30827 02198 and TF 34273 02845
