The Commission announced, in Regulation number 2019/1382, OJ ref.L227 dated 3 September 2019, that where the 25% safeguard duty becomes payable (because the quota is exhausted) on certain steel imports in chapters 72 and 73 of the Tariff, any anti-dumping or countervailing duty also in force will be adjusted or suspended as appropriate, with immediate effect.
As a consequence of the exhaustion of quota 098871, the countervailing duty on stainless steel bars and rods originating in India will be suspended from 24 September 2020 to 30 September 2020 as follows:
