The Department for Work and Pensions commissioned an online survey of healthcare professionals to inform the Milburn Young People and Work report. This research was designed to explore healthcare professionals’ views on the changing health needs of young people, the rise in the number of young people who are not in education, employment or training (NEET), and the role of healthcare services in supporting young people.

Research value and contribution to the evidence base

The findings from this research have been used to inform the Young people and work: interim report.

It will also inform the wider evidence base on young people not in education, employment or training (NEETs).
