We have a received a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 for the following:
Does function number 25 on the Supplementary Data Tables include the recording of crime following a crime being reported at a station front desk i.e. putting the details on the computer database?
We released the following information on 29 October 2012.
The enquiry/station function will receive initial crime reports and often input this directly on to the computer. Depending on force processes, other functions may also be associated with receiving, inputting, quality assuring and maintaining crime reports. For example, this could include ‘Communications/IT/Audio Staff’ functions, ‘Corporate Development’ staff and ‘Other Admin/Clerical’.
