Suffolk Wildlife Trust has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 8 of The Water Abstraction (Transitional Provisions) Regulations 2017.

The Environment Agency has received the following abstraction licence application within the East Suffolk catchment.

The application is for a licence to abstract (take) water from Finger Bread Hill Pond at Trimley St. Mary, Felixstowe, Suffolk at National Grid Reference TM 26748 36330 to transfer it to an unnamed reservoir in Trimley Marshes at TM 25986 35901 without intervening use.

Abstraction will take place all year round.

Further details are: this existing abstraction is a transfer for the purpose of wet fencing and nature conservation and was previously exempt from the need for a licence under the Water Resources Act 1991.
