The Charity Commission was asked to review its decision to refuse consent under section 198 of the Charities Act 2011 for a change of objects.

The review was conducted by a senior case manager in Operations, Taunton. All the information and evidence provided by the charity was re-examined against the commission’s policy in respect of section 198 consent. After re-considering the commission’s decision not to give consent, it was decided that it should be overturned. Section 198 consent was provided with the decision outcome on 17 June 2015.
