Steel road wheels, originating in the People’s Republic of China (Anti-Dumping Duty 2328)

Amending the initiation notice concerning steel road wheels, originating in the People’s Republic of China.

In Official Journal ref. C111 dated 25 March 2019 the Commission has amended its notice of 15 February 19, to clarify the scope of the investigation into steel road wheels, whether or not with their accessories and whether or not fitted with tyres, originating in the People’s Republic of China.

Designed for:

  • road tractors
  • motor vehicles for the transport of persons
  • motor vehicles for the transport of goods
  • special purpose motor vehicles (such as fire fighting vehicles, spraying lorries)
  • trailers, semi-trailers, caravans and similar vehicles not mechanically propelled

These goods now currently fall within CN codes

  • 8708 7010 80
  • 8708 7010 85
  • 8708 7099 20
  • 8708 7099 80
  • 8716 9090 95
  • 8716 9090 97

Exclusions - road wheels of steel for:

  • the industrial assembly of pedestrian-controlled tractors within CN sub-heading 8701 10
  • wheel centres in star form, cast in one piece, of steel
  • wheels for road quad bikes
  • wheels for motor vehicles specifically designed for uses other than on public roads (such as wheels for agricultural tractors or forestry tractors, for forklifts, for pushback tractors, for dumpers for off-highway use)

Interested parties are invited to make themselves/their views known to the Commission within 7 days, hearing requests may be made within 15 days (see Commission notice for details).

The timeframe for other procedures remains unchanged.
