Details

To apply for an advance of statutory parental, paternal, adoption or maternity pay, you can use the online service to apply for all types of advance.

To apply online, you need a Government Gateway user ID and password. If you do not have a user ID, you can create one when you apply.

To apply for the advance, you’ll need to have your Unique Taxpayer Reference number (UTR) or VAT reference number in your Business Tax Account. You can add this from your account homepage.

If you’re an agent or you don’t have a tax account, email these forms individually:

• Statutory Maternity Pay (SMP)
• Statutory Paternity Pay
• Statutory Adoption Pay
• Statutory Shared Parental Pay (ShPP)
