This document contains the following information: Statement of changes in immigration rules
This statement contains two provisions. First is a provision requiring that a child under the age of 18 who is travelling alone should be able to demonstrate that suitable arrangements have been made for their travel to, and reception and care in the UK and that there is a parent or guardian in their home country or country of habitual residence who is responsible for their care.
The second provision requires that children who are visa nationals and accompanied should have the name of that adult entered on their visa, and can only be given leave to enter on the same occasion as that accompanying adult.
This paper was laid before Parliament in response to a legislative requirement or as a Return to an Address and was ordered to be printed by the House of Commons.
