Details of the application

Stanley and Pickford has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 8 of The Water Abstraction (Transitional Provisions) Regulations 2017.

The Environment Agency has received the following abstraction licence application within the Cherwell, Thame and Wye catchment,

The application is to vary licence serial number 28/39/19/0211 which authorises the abstraction of water from Mill Stream at Stanton St John, Oxfordshire at National Grid Reference SP 58309 09588.

The variation applied for is: to add 34,255 cubic metres per year, 700 cubic metres per day and 46 cubic metres per hour for the purpose of trickle irrigation to the existing licence for spray irrigation and top up water.

Further details are: this existing abstraction purpose was previously exempt from the need for a licence under the Water Resources Act 1991.
