The Environment Agency has received an application to vary an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 (that does not involve substantial change) from Land Recovery Limited.

Regulated facility type

Addition of a new waste operation to an existing installation permit and variation of the existing installation permit to increase the size of the permitted area and accept additional waste codes. The waste operation is proposed to comprise the receipt, sorting and temporary storage of non-hazardous wood in the form of railway sleepers and telegraph poles, prior to onward transport for off-site recovery. In addition, the new waste operation is proposed to include the acceptance and physical treatment by mechanical screening, if required, of non-hazardous fragmentiser waste prior to onward transport for recovery or disposal offsite
