  1. Removed the quarterly reporting requirement for non-waste material.

  2. Charging information removed because it is incorporated into The Environment Agency (Environmental Permitting and Abstraction Licensing) (England) Charging Scheme 2022 (as amended).

  3. Updated the 'Details' section to linked to the new service for applying for a environmental permit online in England.

  4. Added that the Environment Agency is testing a new online service for permit applications in England. Added a link so you can sign up to use the new service and give feedback.

  5. Corrected an error in the application charge and the minor variation charge. Added a link to 'Extension to comply with new standard rules permits: RPS 331' - this regulatory position statement has extended the deadline for complying or applying for a permit for existing permit holders.

This standard rules permit allows you to operate a waste facility for the storage and treatment of non-hazardous waste wood.  

You can apply for this standard rules permit if: 

  • your activity meets the rules set out in the permit 
  • you can manage the potential risks as set out in the generic risk assessment
