Details

When referred to in an environmental permit, these rules will allow the operator to store materials within the floodplain for a period of no longer than 4 weeks and removed at the end of that time.

These rules do not allow the materials to be stored on or within 8 metres of a flood defence structure; or within 8 metres from the river for non-tidal rivers and 16 metres for tidal rivers.

All materials must be related to and stored adjacent to where specific works are carried out.

Materials must be stored parallel to the river bank and have a 1 metre break every 10 metres.
