Squibb Group Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a licence to remove parts of an unlicensed impounding works between National Grid References SK 39854 34370 and SK 39876 34380 at Spondon, Derby.
The proposal is to remove the above channel parts of the sluice gates. Before any works are carried out, the applicant must apply for an impoundment licence. Removing parts of the impounding works is part of the site demolition.
