The report presents the Spatial Computable General Equilibrium (S-CGE) Model developed by PwC on behalf of HS2 Ltd. The model has been used to estimate how the improved connectivity that HS2 will deliver between the UK’s cities and regions will impact the UK economy. The conclusions of the reports have been used by the Department for Transport to support the Phase 2b Western Leg Update to the Strategic Outline Business Case (Jan 22).
The Independent Review of S-CGE Model was conducted by Dr Adolf Stroombergen, Chief Economist of Infometrics and Dr James Laird, Director of Peak Economics.
