Marine plans place sustainability at the centre of all decisions.
The Sustainability Appraisal provides an independent assessment of a marine plan at each stage of their development, ensuring that economic, social and environmental sustainability is at the core of the marine plans.
The scoping report is the first stage of the Sustainability Appraisal, setting out what issues the appraisal will include.
The draft Sustainability Appraisal Scoping Report was published following public consultation in April 2015.
