The Balancing and Settlement Code
Establishment of SSES Governance Groups and creation of SSES Governance Framework
Direction to the BSC Panel
- In this Direction:
- (a) “Balancing and Settlement Code” means the document of that name maintained in force by National Energy System Operator Limited in accordance with Condition E1 of the electricity system operator licence treated as granted to it under section 6(1)(da) of the Electricity Act 1989;
- (b) unless otherwise defined, words and expressions have the meanings given to them in the Balancing and Settlement Code.
- In accordance with Section C18.1 of the Balancing and Settlement Code the Secretary of State directs the Panel, for the purposes of implementing SSES Arrangements, to establish as Panel Committees a Technical Governance Group and a Security Governance Group.
- The document entitled “SSES Governance Framework” attached to this Direction is included in it for the purposes of Section C18.1(b) and C18.2(c), and is hereby in force from the date of this Direction.
- Each SSES Governance Group is to be established with effect from the date determined by the Secretary of State in accordance with paragraph 1.9.5 of the SSES Governance Framework.
