This report explains the sampling and methodology of the Longitudinal Small Business Survey (LSBS) 2020, a large-scale telephone survey of UK small business owners and managers. It is the latest in a series of surveys dating back to 2003. Since 2015 the survey has been run annually with a longitudinal component and been known as the LSBS.

The 2020 survey was carried out between September 2020 and April 2021.
