Details of the application
Simon Turner, Rachael Turner and Katrina Taylor, trading as Sharrington Strawberries has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 8 of The Water Abstraction (Transitional Provisions) Regulations 2017.
The Environment Agency has received the following abstraction licence application within the North Norfolk catchment.
The application is for a full licence to abstract water as follows:
- 16 cubic metres an hour
- 384 cubic metres a day
- 82,176 cubic metres a year
- between 1 April and 31 October inclusive in each year
- at National Grid Reference (NGR) TG 00220 39162
- from abstraction location unnamed tributary of the River Stiffkey at Field Dalling, Norfolk.
The water will be used for storage for subsequent trickle irrigation.
